NAVFAC Naval Submarine Base—Power Feeder—Kings Bay, GA

Reliance Construction was awarded a contract at the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base to complete the installation of a 3 Phase Transformer Loop Feed to enable emergency back up generators to provide power to mission essential buildings in the Restricted Waterfront Area. The loop feed was installed in electrical duct banks throughout the area. The project also involved the directional boring of a power feeder line and transformer to the communications shack within the submarine dock hanger. The installation of new cable setti ngs to the existing connection to the transformer was also completed.

Replacement of Generator Switch Gear Controls - Postal Square Building, Washington, DC

The existing switchgear controls in the Postal Square Building, located in the ground floor main electrical room, have proven to be unreliable during multiple routine tests and needed to be replaced. Reliance is replacing the existing generator switchgear controls with new switchgear controls system designed to start, synchronize, and parallel two existing 1250 KW Caterpillar diesel generators.

Tri-Annual Breaker Testing - VA Medical Center, Memphis, TN

Reliance has been awarded a contract to perform the inspection and testing of Switchgear circuit breakers and transformers in multiple buildings at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in the city of Memphis. The work includes cleaning, inspecting, and testing approximately one- hundred circuit breakers and three-hundred transformers. Necessary repairs will be completed or reported and submitted for approval.

Cavalier Air Force Station, ND

The project at Cavalier AFS in North Dakota requires a design build approach to solving existing issues and installing new equipment. The design elements include a site investigation and engineering at two buildings on the air station to provide solutions for ensuring the protection of the communication systems. Other items that do not directly relate to the H.E.M.P portions of the contract include some civil work to repair some water diversion earth berms, water proofing to building foundations and the troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm systems at the base.

NC National Guard Headquarters Uninterrupted Power System Servicing - Raleigh, NC

The NC National Guard Headquarters located in Raleigh houses both the NCNG administration offices and the NC Emergency Management Division. Reliance was tasked to service the UPS that supplies backup power for mission critical communication and electronic systems. 120 battery packs in two MGE units were replaced and Reliance engineers provided start up, calibration and testing on the system to ensure that it was operating as required and ready to provide service during emergency situations.

Fort Bragg, NC

Reliance Construction was awarded a contract to perform various tasks associated with fiber optic communications networks, electrical service installation and civil site work. This work was performed at locations throughout Fort Bragg. Conduit and junction boxes were installed at one location along with CAT-6 cabling, jacks and patch panels to service computer network, alarm systems and UPS. Chemical ground rods and trailer footings were installed at three locations. Fiber Optic service was fed throughout the base.

National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences-Research Triangle Park, NC

The National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences in Research Triangle Park, NC awarded Reliance Construction a task order that is a part of a Multiple Award Task Order Contract. This task order involves the removal and disposal of obsolete VHF radio equipment, conduit and other items in buildings located throughout the campus. The installation of electrical distribution components are required once the equipment has been removed. The work involves scaling the antenna mast as well as working in confined spaces.

JEB Little Creek - Bldg 3889 Relocate Circuits to Emergency Generator-Virginia Beach, VA

Reliance Construction has an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract with JEB Little Creek/ Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Task Order associated with the IDIQ, Reliance is removing existing lighting and wiring in multiple rooms in a Special Operations building and installing new wiring and components back to an emergency generator. A full building shut down was conducted for the testing of the new system.
